With the popularity of hybrid devices nowadays (be it all-in-one PCs, camera phones, GPS phones, etc), more and more of such devices are being introduced into the market everyday. Most households today have a TV set coupled with a DVD player. For that reason, Toshiba has introduced the Toshiba 15LV505 LCD TV set that comes with a DVD player on its back.
The Toshiba 15LV505 LCD TV is a 15.6-inch LCD that can play movies in a 1366 x 768 resolution. It measures at 15.8 x 5.5 x 12.6 inches and weighs in a 7.7 pounds. At around 15 inches, this is a great little LCD TV for your bedroom, kids room, office and other small spaces. Despite having a DVD player built-in behind the screen, this TV set is still very compact, having a tiny footprint that is great for places where space is a luxury.
The Toshiba 15LV505 LCD TV comes with 2 stereo speakers. In terms of connectivity, it has a HD component input, a headphone jack, a composite video/audio input, digital audio output and a set of other standard connectors. Most of the connectors are locate behind the unit and the DVD slot is located on the left side of the device. It ships with a stand, remote and a power cable.
This model plays HD movies pretty well (at 720p). The images were very clear and sharp, even when viewed from a distance (considering its size). The screen has a matte surface so there was very little reflection even when viewed with bright lighting in room. The audio was also surprisingly good for such tiny speakers.
